Crumbs is a marketplace platform that connects restaurants, bakeries, and retailers with consumers looking to buy surplus food at 50-70% off. Through Surprise Bags available for in-store pickup, Crumbs turns end-of-day food waste into revenue for businesses and affordable meals for consumers.

Croatia throws away over 280,000 tonnes of food each year, with nearly 40% of it still perfectly edible. Crumbs tackles this by making it simple for food businesses to list unsold surplus and for consumers to save it through the app. With partners including Mlinar and Kaufland, the platform has proven strong product-market fit and is expanding across Southeast Europe into Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro. A Retail AI tool currently in development will help retailers predict expiry dates and optimize inventory before food becomes waste.
